California (officially Barangay California) is one of the 44 barangays constituting the municipality of Ubay, in the province of Bohol, Philippines.
The barangay's total land area is approximately 319[2] hectares and has a population of 713[3]as of 2007. In the last 2010 National election, it has 488[4]registered voters.
Barangay California celebrates its annual fiesta every May 13 in honor of their patron saint.

Located on the south of the municipality, barangay California is bounded by barangay San Pascual to the north and east. It is bounded by barangay San Francisco to the west and to the south, by barangay Ilihan. It has approximate distance of 25 km from the town center, Poblacion.
There are seven puroks or units in the barangay manned by the elected kagawads including the Punong Barangay or Barangay chairman.
People in the barangay are mostly farmers live by planting rice, taro, camote, cassava, banana, and other vegetables. Some have small lots of agricultural land. A portion of population also weaves mats, produce palm oil and coconut products.
